Terms for MediaText Studio.

MediaText Studio is a product of Studio 1979. These terms explain the practical rules for using MediaText Studio, this website and support communication. App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

User terms.

These terms are written for clarity. They do not replace any mandatory terms Apple applies to Mac App Store distribution.

1. Product owner

MediaText Studio is a software product of Studio 1979. The Studio 1979 website is www.studio1979.nl.

2. App Store license

MediaText Studio is distributed through the Mac App Store. Unless a custom license agreement is shown in App Store Connect, Apple's standard End User License Agreement applies to the app license.

3. Purchase, payment and refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple handles payment, taxes, receipts, refunds and App Store account matters according to Apple's policies.

4. Your content and rights

You keep ownership of the video, audio, subtitle, caption, script, review document and project files you use with MediaText Studio. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions to process, edit, convert, export or deliver that content.

5. Studio 1979 intellectual property

MediaText Studio, this website, the product name, product design, software, documentation and related materials are owned by Studio 1979 or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where allowed by applicable law or Apple's App Store terms.

6. Professional responsibility

MediaText Studio helps with subtitle editing, caption review, timed-text conversion, QC and delivery exports. You remain responsible for checking timing, language, accessibility requirements, broadcaster specs, festival specs, streamer specs and client delivery requirements before final delivery.

7. Offline local workflow

MediaText Studio is designed for local Mac workflows. The app does not upload your production media for processing. If you choose to email files to support, you are responsible for ensuring that you are allowed to share those files.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MediaText Studio or this website to:

  • Violate intellectual property, privacy or confidentiality rights.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with or bypass app security or licensing controls.
  • Distribute malicious files, unlawful content or content you do not have rights to use.
  • Misrepresent MediaText Studio outputs as certified delivery where independent review is required.

10. Disclaimer and limitation

MediaText Studio is provided as a professional tool, but no software can guarantee that every subtitle, caption, conversion or export will meet every external delivery specification. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MediaText Studio is provided without warranties beyond those required by applicable law.
